Nike Print and Poster

Cole & Weber Seattle did the Nike work that Wieden refused to do. We were in charge of the “retail kits” sent to distributors. We knew that if we made them beautiful enough, Nike would use them themselves. This is the result of an amazing collaboration with Markku Lähdesmäki. It started as a visual collection of "ers" — Deeper, Stronger, Further — but evolved into capturing great moments of sport in your daily life. Classic Nike.

Nike Music of Baseball

My favorite effort for Nike came with the spot "Music of Baseball.” The sounds created on field combine to evoke an energized version of the baseball classic, "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." An amazing piece of work by Jim Elliott and Scott Bailey, it is now a permanent resident of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Even though it was honored by the AICP, our favorite accolade was Dan Wieden's reaction. He lamented Wieden+Kennedy not having done it, asking, 'Why didn’t we make that?!'
